Groom Ventures has a long history working with cutting edge technology. In 1996 one of our ventures, Attitude Media, launched the Positive Press website, followed by The Outrage in 1997. These early web ventures garnered a lot of high level publicity.

In 1999 John F. Groom was the 3rd employee hired at AnnuityNet, the first company to develop online sales of variable annuities. The company, with financing arranged by Goldman Sachs and GE equity and large insurance companies as investors, was later sold to Ebix. Groom was in charge of the website and developing complex online financial tools.

More recently we’ve launched several popular social media accounts, including Indo Art House on Instagram and Groom Media on Twitter.

John F. Groom has created a number of technological innovations. His first patent, for “System and Method for Organizing, Exploring, and Relating Online Content”, was granted in 2018. He has two additional patents pending, for “Alternate Search Methodology” and “Smart City Apps: Integrating 5G with Large Scale Planned Community Development.”

In addition to the patents, Groom Ventures also owns an extensive library of additional intellectual property, including domain names, trademarks, copyrights, websites, apps, artwork, and original images.
